Beechcraft Bonanza kent muzikale stijl van jaren ’50 en ’60 blues en pop als zijn broekzak.
Of het nu Buddy Holly-achtige pop-rock, Rockabilly stompers, swingende jump blues of straight up Country is, Beechcraft Bonanza rockt je uit je sokken op 4 snaren met 3 akkoorden en brengt een frisse variant van een nostalgisch geluid.
Beechcraft Bonanza is het pseudoniem van s(w)inger-songwriter Guido Kreeuseler (1983). In een
swingende set-up met tenor ukelele en stompbox zingt deze eenmansband zijn
Americana songs in een stijl schatplichtig aan Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash en Big Joe Turner.
Naast mieters eigen werk speelt Beechcraft Bonanza ook een uitgebreid repertoire aan covers uit de
fifties en sixties.
Beechcraft Bonanza stond al op verschillende kleine- en middelgrote festivals, zoals Trek, Klein New Orleans, MadNes en Blues aan de Haven, wat in 2024 zeker een gevolg mag krijgen.
Ook opvallend was het “A Different Elvis Concert” in Gebouw-T te Bergen-op-Zoom (2019) en de laatste EP “POP!” waarop Beechcraft Blues-versies speelt van bekende 80’s en 90’s pop-klassiekers.
Begin 2024 startte Beechcraft Bonanza aan de productie van de volgende Full-Length uitgave, een live LP die zal worden opgenomen in zijn thuisstad Almere.
Op dit album gaat de eigenzinnige artiest dieper in op zijn Indische roots door het gebruik van Gamelan toonladders en Kroncong akkoorden. Hier en daar word het werk wat folkier, maar nog steeds met een swingend Americana sausje.

He is the rolling rocker of the rugged rambling rocking folk-blues, the masterly minstrel of the masterful melodies on miniature musical instruments, “the high strung, unsung ukulele underdog” of the Almere rockabilly: Beechcraft Bonanza.
Beechcraft Bonanza is the pseudonym of s(w)inging-songwriter Guido Kreeuseler (1983). In a
rocking set-up with tenor ukulele and stompbox this one-man band sings rockabilly songs in a style indebted to Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, Arthur “Big Boy” Crudupp and Little Richard with occasional trips to Billy Bragg, Nirvana and Roy Orbison.
In addition to his own work, Beechcraft Bonanza also plays an extensive repertoire of covers from the fifties and sixties and can be regarded as the Dutch answer to American Retro artists J.D McPherson and Pokey LaFarge
Performances are about the energy, swing and striking lyrics. The audience is often pleasantly surprised with how much noise one can make with only a tenor-ukulele as main instrument!
In addition to a lively live performance, Beechcraft Bonanza also records music and has already produced a whole series of EPs and singles, of which Give Up Honey is one of the highlights.
In 2020, this artist’s first full length album was released with the title “Blue Honey Devil”.
Things being otherwise rather quiet in the Pandemic Years of 2020-2022, the tail-end of 2022 reinvigorated the ukulele slinger with a string of wide ranging gigs across the Netherlands with a two-day residency at the Restaurant of the Epic Theatre Company Vis-a-Vis (NL) as one of the Highlights.
All the more reason to keep an eye on this eccentric swinger-songwriter!
